last month, i was able to travel to my home state of new mexico to photography my cousin, johannah's wedding!!
to put it in perspective, johannah's mother and my mother were pregnant with us together for a few weeks - so basically - johannah and i have literally known each other our entire lives and my very, very early childhood memories have her and her family in it.
i could go on and on with memories of us as kids, our summers together and all the crazy things we did but then this post would never end.

i was so deeply honored that she asked me to photograph her big day.
and i'm so happy for her future with matt.
they've been together for 7 years and it was such a joy for all of us to see them both marry and be merry. ;)
their wedding was beautiful!!! from the jewelry, flowers & chapel!!! and the reception was quite eventful!!
it was a such a good day filled with so much love and laughter.

this was my first wedding to photograph with an official assistant.
my best friend, amanda, was able to join me to help where needed and even got photo happy herself as she took photographs on her own!!
it was so hard for me to narrow down all the images to just a few - so you'll just have to see a ton of them!!

yesterday was a good day.
my cousin/brother got married and all day i kept asking myself, "when did we all grow up?!".
i have such great memories of robert and i as kids.
he was always so nice and concerned for my well being as a child, as we grew up into teenagers and as an adult while we experienced life.
and even on his wedding day, he gave me numerous hugs, thanked me & complimented me.
he has such a sweet, sweet spirit & we've definitely seen each other through a lot.

and now, he's a husband!!!
and i had the extreme honor of photographing his special day as he married his love, jessica.
the day started early as i met jessica as she got her makeup & hair done.
we even snuck in a cousin/cousin-in-law starbucks visit for some refreshments and a quick breakfast.
jessica looked absolutely beautiful!! and i'll forever remember her smiles throughout her big day!!

this was definitely one of the most creative weddings i've been to.
robert & jess made just about EVERYTHING from the centerpieces, jewelry, aisle runner, guestbook, ring bearer pillow, fans for the guests & even their own cake!!
robert & i always connected and shared a common interest in graphic design and creativity in general.
so i was happy to see him meet and marry jess whom is just as crafty & creative as he is. :)
it was so hard to narrow down their pictures to just a few.
so this is the longest blog post of pictures in the history of lyrics. :)

i wish robert & jess all the best in their new life together.

so it's official.
i love house weddings.
they're my new favorite.

this wedding was a first for me.
i didn't meet the bride & groom til' the day of the wedding!
but no worries, all turned out quite swell. :)

it was nothing but good times photographing the wedding of ryan & tori.

last week, i had one of the most amazing weeks of my life!! one of my most amazing bff's and i took a lil' roadtrip to new york to visit family, nyc & to top off all the fun, we were both involved in a wedding!!! :)
my good friend, jen, got married last weekend. i've known jen now for... 12 years!!!! it's hard to believe that we both went to high school together, graduated and now, we're both married!!! time flies.
even though i wasn't the official photographer, i had to bring my camera along and take some shots here and there of the bride and groom. i was able to sneak jen & andy away from the reception for a few lyrics shots. and they were super fun!!

jen - i hope your dominican republic honeymoon is amazing! thanks so much for allowing me to take part in such a special day in your life! being one of your bridesmaids was SO MUCH fun! love you dearly!
